How people find my blog

Hey - does anyone know who to find out what search terms people use to find your blog? (Without them telling you).

Ive seen on more that one blog, how they were suprised (and sometimes shocked) at what search word on Google listed their site.

Anyone know how to do it?

Go to http://www.statcounter.com/ and sign up for a free account, then insert their code on your blog's sidebar, and pretty soon you'll be able to read all sorts of interesting stats, including search words and where your visitors are coming from.

I've discovered through Statcounter that my mother-in-law is secretly reading my blog, and that my dad has logged in a couple of times. Verrrrrry interesting stuff!

    Hey, that worked great!

And as fate would have it, the first search string Im aware of , used to find my page, was from that botched Alphabet day post, and the word "Alagarky".

Which, by the way, although isn't properly spelled, is ALL OVER the internet, by people too stoopid to use Dictionary.com like I do,

    Thanks Phil!!

I use sitemeter. The free counter keeps track of the last 100 visits. If you pay I'm sure you get a ton more data. I'm not too much of a stat whore, so 100 is fine for me.

OMG Phil, I don't think my mom or my wife is reading my blog, but apparently my barber is, and she flogs me for some of my whines every time I go in :)
